Executive Profiles

 

Peter Kentley

Peter flew as an airline pilot for 25 years with Ansett in Australia. During this time he served as both a Training Captain and Simulator Manager. For seven years he flew overseas, including service as a Commander on long haul international operations with Air Mauritus and Singapore Airlines. Peter also served as an air safety development specialist with the International Federation of Airline Pilots and the International Civil Aviation Organisation. Since the early 1980's Peter pioneered and developing Christian fellowship groups in the airlines both in Australia and overseas.

Since retiring from flying in 2002 Peter has been engaged in developing new spheres of marketplace ministry in Melbourne and interstate. He serves as CEO of Australian Marketplace Connections, he is on the committee of the Melbourne Prayer Breakfast and the Melbourne  steering committee of the Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit. Peter is a member of St Hilary's Anglican Church Kew.

Carey Cox

Carey Cox was, until recently, the Victorian Manager of the Australian Institute of Company Directors where he spent almost eight years working with leading Australian business figures. Much of the work involved the mentoring of directors and executives.

His earlier career was spent with the Nicholas Kiwi organisation where he worked as an executive, general manager and director in Africa (Nigeria, Zambia), the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Caribbean and the USA where he spent seven years as CEO of Nicholas Laboratories Inc.

Carey Cox was guest lecturer in International Marketing in the MBA program at the Graduate School of Business of New York University for five years from 1990 to 1994. Carey is a member of Chalmers Presbyterian Church Hawthorn.

George Savvidies

George Savvides was appointed Interim Managing Director of Medibank Private Limited, Australia’s largest health insurer, in April 2002 and confirmed as a permanent appointment by the Australian Federal Government in April 2003.

Mr Savvides has sixteen years experience in the Australian health care industry where he was Managing Director of a major pharmaceutical company, Sigma, for 5 years, which he listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1999. Prior to that was the Regional Managing Director of global health care company Smith + Nephew.

He originally trained as an industrial engineer, is an MBA, a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is also a non-executive director of World Vision International and World Vision Australia. George is a member of Glen Waverley Anglican Church.

Michael Schultz

Michael is an experienced Consultant and Facilitator with a chartered accounting background. He has wide industry knowledge with a track record of developing and implementing strategies and systems for small and medium sized businesses. He holds licenses to deliver the AusIndustry (Australian Government) World Competitive Services and World Competitive Manufacturing suite of programs.

His specialisations include leadership coaching, mentoring, strategic planning, and productivity/financial analysis, planning and monitoring. Michael has successfully implemented change in organisations to empowerment and continuous improvement. Michael is a member of the Clifton Springs Community Church.

 

Rosalind Baker

Rosalind has set up three successful businesses and is the principal of Entre Nous, which is based on Christian ethics. She has also worked as Women's Editor of a suburban newspaper and her three books were best-sellers including Dial A Personality. The seven personalities within each woman – inspiring women to draw on the strengths of the personality types within to develop a harmonious inner-self.

Rosalind is a theology student at Ridley College, University of Melbourne. She is an enthusiastic speaker for Opportunity International and an active member of her church, St Jude’s Anglican, Carlton.
