| Airborne was initiated as a Christian
initiative in the airlines,
aviation, aerospace and travel industry. This site provides Christian
contacts and resources for aircrew, business travellers and passengers
- especially when they are away from home.
We
support the activities of FCAP,
AAACF and CBMC
around the globe.
Our Christian position is mainstream, inter-denominational and international in nature. This
site has no Church denominational affiliations and is both non-political and non-profit.
Airborne upholds the Christian Airline Fellowship belief
statement.
This site operates under the hope and
authority of John 15:16:
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and
appointed you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last."
The basis of our fellowship is Christ
centered in accordance with John 14:23: "Jesus
replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and
we will come to him and make our home with him."
This site is an
open resource available to everyone and we
hope you will find the contents useful and informative.
The Airborne Vision
was started by Peter Kentley (Captain) in February 1997 and the web site was
launched in April 1998.

Notes on Christian Leadership Jesus says, "Dwell in me and I will
dwell in you. Live in me and I will live in you." (John 15:4-7). He is more
interested in the time you spend with Him, than with the works you accomplish in His name.
Spiritual principles for living
in Christ:
The requirements for
spiritual leadership are different from the requirements for leadership in the secular
world. For the Christian there must be a purity of heart and actions that reflect Jesus
Christ. The standards of our secular culture are not high enough for the
believer.
Whatever ministry God
gives belongs to God. It is His ministry, and He will use it to
draw men and women to himself. Ministry is not the reason for our life in
Christ. We have life in Christ because He desires us to belong to Him. Our vocation
also belongs to Jesus as a primary place of service and
witness.
Don't let what
we do
be the value on which we base our personal relationship with Jesus. The secular world
measures us by performance because the things we do are the most visible. Don't let
this take first place in our life. Jesus is most concerned with the quality of
our
relationship with Himself. What we do for Him is merely an expression of
our life in Him.
When
we walk in
Christ, the approval of others takes its proper place inn our life. We will glance at
others and gaze at Jesus.
We
learn to depend on the
Holy Spirit's power to free us from a spirit of comparison with others. Gal. 6:4-6 says
to "test your own actions." Jesus' response to Peter, when asked how John would
die, was "What is that to you?" (John 21:23) The key is finding God's will for
our life and do it.
There is a deep inner
peace that comes when we are fulfilling the purpose for which we were
created.
There are
times when the Lord closes the door on one ministry and opens another - or, close the door
for a time to bring us to a place of refreshment with
Him. If our "ministry" is totally
surrendered to Him, He will help us to stay steady and wait for Him. Waiting
is not easy, but not only is it important to know His will, it is also important to
know His timing.
