Developing Ministry
in the Airline Workplace

Personal Development

Growth Consistency Vision Compassion
Growth is knowing that when God brings change and challenges in my life at work, this is His way of drawing me close to him and working in my life so he can work through my circumstances.
(1 Peter 5:10).
The Christian life cannot be lived perfectly, but it should be lived consistently.
I should be developing a consistent faith in God throughout my day at work. This will give evidence of my hope.
(1 Peter 1:6-7,
1 Peter 3:15).
Personally growth and consistency is commendable. But vision allows me to see that as God has worked in my life, so also he has chosen to work through my life as his instrument to reach people in their needs.
(2 Cor. 1:3-4).
Compassion is not only seeing the needs of people, but taking steps to reach out and show concern and pity for them in their difficult and needy circumstances. This is when I become a labourer in ministry. (Matt 9:36-38).

Small Group Development

Birth Support Depth Multiply
Birth of a small group is when two or more Christians, being of one mind and one purpose, are willing to meet on a regular basis, with the desire of seeing God bring about a ministry in the workplace. (PhiI 2:2). When God’s people begin to support one another they will bear one another’s burdens and demonstrate their love for each other. This can bring an influential witness on people at work.
(John 13:34-35)
Depth comes when people begin to open up to each another and will be accountable with one other, allowing one another to be instructed from God’s word and be corrected as needed, and encourage each other.
(2 Tim3: 16-7)
As a group matures and grows, it should prayerfully seek to multiply its ministry in another area of the workplace. A small group reproducing itself in another place should be the ultimate goal of every group.
(Acts 6:7).
